A Challenging Case: Carbon Monoxide Poisoning and Parkinsonian Symptoms

It is well known that severe carbon monoxide poisoning can result in Parkinsonian symptoms.

This case report by Eric Hirsch, a medical student at SUNY Downstate, describes a unique case of chronic, low level carbon monoxide poisoning in a car mechanic that resulted in Parkinsonian symptoms and MRI evidence of bilateral necrosis in the globus pallidus.
