Published in JAMA Neurology the ABIDE project, a prospective cohort study of patients offered amyloid PET as part of their dementia work up, with a pre amyloid PET and post amyloid PET diagnosis and treatment approach.
The conclusion…amyloid positive and amyloid negative findings were associated with changes in diagnosis and treatment protocols.
The authors noted this study bridges the research use and validates the findings of using amyloid PET as a clinical tool in daily clinical practice.
